Dr Mohammad Mutahar is the Principal Director of Harbour Side Medical Centre in Mindarie and a highly esteemed senior clinician with almost 40 years of experience in clinical medicine. As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), he possesses comprehensive knowledge of medical practice and is deeply committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred family healthcare. Dr Mutahar provides thorough, compassionate care across all aspects of medicine, with particular clinical expertise in preventive health, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, obesity and weight management, cardiovascular disease, asthma, and COPD. He also has a strong interest in men’s health, shared antenatal care, and chronic disease management, focusing on achieving optimal long-term health outcomes for his patients.

Dedicated to medical education, Dr Mutahar has a long history of training and shaping the next generation of medical professionals. He has served as both a GP supervisor and a clinical examiner, reflecting his commitment to mentoring junior doctors and maintaining rigorous standards within the profession. He is also a multilingual practitioner, offering consultations in several languages including Persian (Dari), Pashto, Arabic, and Urdu. Outside of his medical practice, he thoroughly enjoys fishing.

Dr Yusof Mutahar, MBBS (UWA), FRACGP

Dr Yusof Mutahar is an Australian General Practitioner with extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care. A graduate of the University of Western Australia (2013) and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), he has built a multifaceted career combining clinical practice, medical education, authorship, and community health advocacy.

Dr Mutahar provides comprehensive healthcare for patients of all ages, with particular clinical interests in chronic disease management, cardiology, respiratory medicine, sports medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, preventive health, dermatology, and travel medicine. He is dedicated to helping patients achieve better long-term health outcomes through compassionate care, early prevention, and collaborative decision-making.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Mutahar is a passionate educator and mentor who has supported numerous medical students and junior doctors through clinical teaching, examination preparation, and structured mentoring. He is also the author of several medical textbooks, including ECG Simplified (2019), Secondary Causes of Hypertension in General Practice (2020), and An Approach to Hypercalcaemia in General Practice (2020), reflecting his commitment to advancing medical education and improving patient care.
Outside the clinic, he is a Judo black belt who has represented Australia in the sport. He also maintains a longstanding interest in philosophy and holds a doctorate in theology.
